| ARU Ltd - Best Scottish Tours |
Our
objective is to provide you with the most memorable
family vacation or group vacation in Scotland. We
will provide the best value for money in Scotland
tours and hotel stays. Our personalised small group
tours of Scotland are paced for discovery and understanding
- not just notching sites.
|
 |
You
will see behind the tourist facade by visiting with
locals and seeing sites not normally seen by the regular
tourist. You will not have to move your base each
and every day, for each hotel will be chosen to minimise
the number of times you have to pack and unpack.
Being a small country, it is perfectly possible to
visit most everywhere in Scotland from a couple of
base locations. This makes for a much more relaxing
experience and also allows you to get to know local
people. We do not put 52 people on a huge coach with
an endurance test for an itinerary. In fact, each
small group travel party will be limited to an absolute
maximum of 18 people. The most common small group
size has been between 8 and 12 people. |

| Western
Ferries, Hunter's Quay |
| Always privately owned, the short ferry crossing
between Hunter's Quay (Dunoon) and McInroy's Point (Gourock) was started in 1973 by Western Ferries
(Argyll) Ltd. Change of ownership in 1985 saw the birth of Western Ferries (Clyde) Ltd. At present
we use a fleet of 4 vessels on the route, giving us a carrying capacity (in each direction) of
approximately 134 cars per hour. |
 |
| The service operates every day of the year including
Christmas and New Year. So with no prior booking, a 20 minute crossing and up to 4 ferries per hour -
"You'll be there before you know it"! |
